• What can microneedling help with – and what can't it?

  Microneedling is used to treat a wide range of concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, uneven texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, sun damage, general skin laxity, and stretch marks. It's not intended to address deeper volume loss or pronounced wrinkles caused by muscle movement, but treatments like dermal fillers or wrinkle relaxers can be added to your plan to complement your results. During your consultation, we'll help prioritize your goals and customize the right combination of treatments for your skin.

• What device do you offer for microneedling treatments?

  We use SkinPen®, the first FDA-cleared microneedling device and the only system with a fully FDA-cleared protocol, trusted by over 10,000 providers and more than three million patients across the U.S. It's engineered and manufactured in the USA.

• How does pricing work?

  Microneedling is priced at a flat rate by area, with add-on options including PRP and Sculptra®. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we're committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

• Is microneedling safe for everyone?

  Microneedling is generally considered safe for most healthy individuals, but it may not be appropriate for everyone. Those with a history of allergies, asthma, or chronic hives and itching may have a higher risk of sensitivity or allergic reactions. It's also not recommended for individuals with active skin infections, certain autoimmune conditions, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your Nuey provider will review your medical history during consultation to ensure microneedling is a safe and appropriate option for you.

• Are there any side effects to microneedling treatments?

  Most clients experience mild, temporary side effects such as redness, sensitivity, or flaking (similar to a light sunburn) that typically resolve within a few days. Allergic reactions are rare but can include contact dermatitis (rash), itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing. If you have a history of allergies, asthma, or skin sensitivities, be sure to discuss this with your Nuey provider during your consultation so we can ensure your treatment plan is both safe and effective.

• Does the treatment hurt?

  You may experience some minor discomfort during and shortly after your treatment. To keep you comfortable, your Nuey provider will apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to minimize any sensitivity.

• What microneedling enhancements do you offer?

  We offer the following enhancements to elevate your microneedling results:

  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Uses your own plasma to accelerate healing, enhance glow, and stimulate deeper collagen renewal.
  • Sculptra: A collagen-boosting infusion that helps improve firmness and rebuild volume over time.

  Your provider can help determine which enhancement best aligns with your skin goals.

• What is the downtime?

  Most clients experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Some dryness or flaking (known as sloughing) may continue for up to a week as the skin naturally renews. This is a normal part of the healing process and often resolves quickly with proper aftercare.
