  • What can wrinkle relaxers help with – and what can they not?

Wrinkle relaxers are best for softening fine lines and smoothing areas where repetitive muscle movement causes wrinkles. They do not add volume, improve skin texture or tone, or treat deep static wrinkles that remain even when the face is at rest. If you’re interested in addressing volume loss, skin laxity, or overall skin quality, explore our other treatments like dermal fillers, Sculptra®, light & energy therapy, or microneedling to complement your results. Meet with a Nuey provider to craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to your skin’s unique needs.

  • What is a neuromodulator?

A neuromodulator is a substance that alters the way nerves communicate with muscles. In aesthetic treatments, neuromodulators (like Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Letybo®) temporarily block the release of acetylcholine, the chemical that signals muscles to contract.

  • What brands do you offer for wrinkle relaxer treatments?

We offer leading brands for our wrinkle relaxer treatments, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Letybo. During your consultation, your provider will determine the product best fit for your skin type and goals.

  • How does pricing work?

Wrinkle relaxers are priced per unit. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • Are wrinkle relaxers safe?

Wrinkle relaxers are FDA-approved and have been safely used for aesthetic treatments for many years. We exclusively use FDA-approved products administered by highly trained professionals. Our team approaches every treatment with precision and care, prioritizing your safety above all else.

  • Are there any side effects to wrinkle relaxer treatments?

Mild side effects are possible, such as minor swelling, redness and bruising at the injection sites, however these typically resolve quickly on their own. More serious risks are rare, but may include temporary muscle weakness or facial drooping. Your provider will review individual risks and post-treatment care during your consultation, but reach out promptly if you have any concerns after your visit.

  • Does it change the shape of my face?

Our approach focuses on enhancing your natural appearance. We aim for subtle results that refresh your look without drastically altering your facial structure. Certain treatment areas, like the masseters or trapezius muscles, may also provide a gentle slimming effect.

  • What is the downtime?

There’s minimal downtime with wrinkle relaxer treatments, making it a simple addition to your daily routine. In some cases, you may notice small bumps near the injection sites, which usually fade within an hour. For detailed after-care instructions, please refer to our Wrinkle Relaxers Treatment Care Guide.

  • Can I get wrinkle relaxers while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Wrinkle relaxers are not safe or recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding. We’ll be happy to discuss alternative options with you during your consultation.

  • Can I get treated the same day as my complimentary consultation?

In many cases, wrinkle relaxer treatments can be performed during your consultation visit. To ensure you are eligible, please review and follow our pre-treatment guidelines for wrinkle relaxers in advance – these help ensure safe, effective results. Book your complimentary consultation here.

  • How can I prepare for my treatment and what should I expect after?

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • What can dermal fillers help with – and what can they not?

Dermal fillers are best for restoring lost volume, enhancing facial contours, and smoothing deeper lines and folds. They do not stop muscle movement, improve skin texture or tone, or tighten loose skin on their own. If you’re looking to address fine lines from expression, skin laxity, or overall skin quality, explore our other treatments like wrinkle relaxers, Sculptra®, light & energy therapy, or microneedling to complement your results. Not sure where to start? A Nuey provider can help you build a personalized plan that aligns with your goals and your skin’s needs over time.

  • What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in your skin and connective tissue. It plays a key role in maintaining hydration by attracting and holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. In dermal fillers, a modified, cross-linked form of HA is used to create a gel-like substance that lasts longer in the skin. This stabilized version allows providers to restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours with results that look natural and hydrated.

  • Doesn’t SKINVIVE™ also use hyaluronic acid? What’s the difference?

Both use hyaluronic acid, but they’re designed for different purposes. Dermal Fillers use a thicker form of HA to restore volume and enhance facial contours. SKINVIVE uses a lighter, microdroplet formulation placed just beneath the surface to attract water, boosting hydration and skin quality without adding volume. Your provider can recommend the right combination based on your goals.

  • How does pricing work?

Dermal fillers are priced per vial. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers (such as Juvéderm® and Restylane® products) are FDA-approved and have been safely used for aesthetic treatments for many years. We exclusively use FDA-approved products administered by highly trained professionals. Our team approaches every treatment with precision and care, prioritizing your safety above all else.

  • Are there any side effects to dermal filler treatments?

Mild bruising or swelling can occur after treatment, particularly in sensitive areas like the lips. If it does, it may take up to 1-2 weeks to fully resolve. For this reason, we recommend booking your appointment at least two weeks before any important events. Be sure to review our Dermal Fillers Treatment Care Guide for complete aftercare instructions.

  • Will my face look overfilled?

Our philosophy is all about subtle enhancement. We focus on creating natural, balanced results that refine your appearance without looking exaggerated.

  • What is the downtime?

There’s typically minimal downtime with dermal filler treatments. You may experience some swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness immediately after the appointment, which can last up to 48 hours. In some cases, swelling or bruising may take a bit longer to fully resolve, but does so within 1-2 weeks. For detailed after-care instructions, please refer to our Dermal Fillers Treatment Care Guide.

  • Can I get dermal fillers while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Dermal fillers are not safe or recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding. We’ll be happy to discuss alternative options with you during your consultation.

  • Can I get treated the same day as my complimentary consultation?

If the pre-treatment care instructions are closely followed, dermal filler treatments can sometimes be performed during your consultation visit. To ensure you are eligible, please review and follow our pre-treatment guidelines for dermal fillers in advance to help ensure safe, effective results. Book your complimentary consultation here.

  • What can Sculptra help with – and what can’t it?

Sculptra is best for gradually restoring volume and improving facial contours by stimulating natural collagen production. It does not fill fine deep lines with precision or stop muscle movement. If you’re interested in addressing dynamic wrinkles, refining skin texture, or achieving targeted volume in areas like the lips or under-eyes, explore our other treatments like wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, light & energy therapy, or microneedling to complement your results. Meet with a Nuey provider to craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to your skin’s unique needs.

  • What is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA)?

Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA) is a biocompatible, biodegradable polymer used in Sculptra to stimulate natural collagen production. Once injected, its microparticles activate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for collagen synthesis, helping your skin gradually rebuild volume and structure. The particles are safely absorbed over time, leaving behind firmer, more resilient skin.

  • Why is collagen important for your skin?

Collagen is the structural protein that keeps skin firm, elastic, and smooth. Think of it as the internal scaffolding that gives your face its shape and support. As early as your 20s, collagen production begins to decline by about 1% per year, contributing to volume loss and changes in skin quality. Supporting collagen levels helps maintain youthful contours and overall skin integrity.

  • How is Sculptra different from dermal fillers and SKINVIVE™ by JUVEDERM®?

Sculptra uses injections of poly-L-lactic acid to help stimulate your body’s own collagen production over time, gradually restoring volume and improving facial structure with results that build naturally. Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid to instantly add volume, shape specific areas, and smooth deeper lines with more immediate results. SKINVIVE also uses hyaluronic acid, but in the form of microdroplets, designed to hydrate and improve skin smoothness and glow rather than add volume or reshape features.

  • How does pricing work?

Sculptra is priced per vial. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • Is Sculptra safe?

Sculptra is FDA-approved in the United States and has been trusted worldwide since 1999. While safe for most people, this treatment may not be appropriate for those with certain allergies, medical conditions, or a history of autoimmune disease. Be sure to share your full health history with your Nuey provider so we can tailor your care safely and effectively.

  • Are there any side effects to Sculptra?

Mild swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site is common and typically resolves within a few days. Small lumps under the skin may occasionally develop and are usually only noticeable when pressing on the area. In rare cases, larger lumps may form later, with or without inflammation or discoloration. Be sure to review our Sculptra Treatment Care Guide for complete aftercare instructions.

  • What is the downtime?

Downtime is minimal, but mild swelling or bruising may occur and typically resolves within a week. We recommend Sculptra treatments at least two weeks before big events, in case any bruising or swelling prolongs. For detailed after-care instructions, please refer to our Sculptra Treatment Care Guide.

  • Is this treatment safe for everyone?

Sculptra is not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. Your Nuey provider will review your medical history to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

  • How can I prepare for my treatment and what should I expect after?

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • What is SKINVIVE™ help with – and what can’t it?

SKINVIVE refreshes dull or tired skin without adding volume. It does not fill deep lines, restore lost volume, or reduce muscle movement. For concerns like dynamic wrinkles, volume loss, or deeper texture refinement, complementary treatments such as wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, light & energy therapy, or microneedling may be recommended to complement your results. Start your skin journey with a personalized plan from one of our expert providers.

  • Is SKINVIVE a filler?

Unlike traditional fillers, SKINVIVE isn’t meant to add volume or lift – it works to enhance your skin’s natural glow without changing your features.

  • Isn’t hyaluronic acid used in dermal fillers?

Yes, hyaluronic acid is the same naturally occurring molecule used in dermal fillers. The difference is in how it’s used: SKINVIVE uses microdroplets of hyaluronic acid that are designed to spread more evenly across the skin’s superficial layers, attracting water and boosting hydration.

  • How does pricing work?

SKINVIVE is priced per syringe. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • Is SKINVIVE safe?

SKINVIVE is FDA-approved and uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your body. Treatments are performed by trained medical professionals.

  • What is the downtime?

Downtime is minimal. You may experience light swelling, tenderness, or small bumps at the injection sites, which typically resolve in 24-48 hours. For detailed after-care instructions, please refer to our SKINVIVE Treatment Care Guide.

  • Can I get SKINVIVE while pregnant or breastfeeding?

SKINVIVE is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We can help explore other options that align with your goals during this time.

  • How can I prepare for my treatment and what should I expect after?

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • Who is best suited for Kybella treatments?

Kybella is ideal for those with localized fullness under the chin and good skin elasticity. It is not intended for overall weight loss or widespread fat reduction. If fullness under the chin is part of a broader weight concern, you may better achieve your goals through a medical weight loss program. A complimentary consultation can help you explore the right path for your goals.

  • Is Kybella permanent?

Destruction of fat cells is permanent, but new fat accumulation can still occur depending on your lifestyle. With healthy habits, your results can remain long-lasting.

  • Does Kybella hurt?

You may feel some discomfort during and after treatment. We use ice and numbing agents to minimize pain, and any post-treatment tenderness typically resolves in a few days.

  • How does pricing work?

Kybella is priced per vial. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • What is the downtime?

Swelling is expected, with peak swelling often lasting 5-7 days. Your provider will give you a compression wrap to wear the first 24-48 hours, then intermittently for 3-5 days to help minimize swelling. We recommend scheduling your Kybella treatment at least four weeks before any special plans or events to allow time for the swelling and bruising to subside. For detailed after-care instructions, please refer to our Kybella Treatment Care Guide.

  • Can I get Kybella while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Kybella is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • How can I prepare for my treatment and what should I expect after?

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • Who should consider an Aquagold treatment?

Aquagold is ideal for those looking to enhance skin tone, texture, and luminosity. It helps reduce fine lines, minimize pores, calm redness, boost hydration, and create an overall radiant, glass-skin effect. However, it’s not intended to treat deeper wrinkles, significant skin laxity, or scarring. For those concerns, your provider may recommend pairing Aquagold with treatments like microneedling, light & energy therapies, or Sculptra® for more transformative results. Book a complimentary consultation to receive a personalized skin plan from one of our expert providers.

  • How is Aquagold different from microneedling?

Unlike traditional microneedling, Aquagold doesn’t create deep micro-injuries or stimulate collagen through controlled trauma. Instead, it uses ultra-fine needles to infuse skin-boosting ingredients directly into the superficial layers of the skin with minimal discomfort or downtime.

  • Does Aquagold hurt?

The 24k gold needles are ultra-fine and only reach the upper layers of skin. Most clients describe it as a series of light pricks or a tingling sensation.

  • Is Aquagold safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Aquagold is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • How soon before an event should I schedule Aquagold?

We recommend booking 5-7 days in advance to allow time for your full glow to emerge.

  • What is the downtime?

Aquagold has minimal downtime – most clients experience some redness or swelling that fades within a few hours. Mild flaking may occur in the first 24 hours and can be gently wiped away with a clean, damp cloth. For full post-treatment guidelines, please refer to our Aquagold Treatment Care Guide.

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • What can PRP/PRF help with – and what can’t it?

PRP and PRF are regenerative treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. They can help refresh dull or tired skin, soften fine lines, and support healthier hair growth. They are not intended to instantly fill deep set wrinkles, lift sagging skin, or reduce muscle movement. For concerns like volume loss, pronounced wrinkles, or more immediate contouring, treatments like dermal fillers, wrinkle relaxers, or Sculptra® may be recommended alongside PRP/PRF. Start with a personalized consultation to map the right approach for your goals.

  • How is PRP/PRF different from Sculptra?

Both treatments stimulate natural collagen production, but in different ways and for different goals. PRP and PRF use your own platelets to improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity, especially around delicate areas like the eyes or scalp. Results are focused on overall skin quality. Sculptra, a biostimulatory injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, works deeper to gradually restore volume and smooth more pronounced folds by rebuilding your skin’s structural foundation. Your Nuey provider can help you build the right treatment (or combination) for your unique needs.

  • How is PRP/PRF used with other treatments?

PRP and PRF can be injected into targeted areas like the under-eyes or scalp, used in its gel form for gentle volume restoration, or combined with treatments like microneedling or AquaGold® to enhance collagen production and improve overall skin quality. Book a consultation with a Nuey provider to explore the best way to incorporate PRP or PRF into your personalized skin treatment plan.

  • What’s the difference between PRP and PRF?

Both PRP and PRF are natural treatments that use your body's own healing factors, but they differ in processing methods and applications. PRP is processed at a higher speed, creating a concentrated serum rich in platelets and growth factors for more immediate, targeted use. PRF is spun more slowly, preserving more white blood cells and fibrin, which forms a matrix that allows for a slower, sustained release of growth factors. During your consultation, we'll discuss which option best suits your specific treatment goals and preferences.

  • What is a platelet?

Platelets are small, cell-like fragments in your blood that play a key role in healing. They’re rich in growth factors that signal your body to repair damaged tissue and support new cell generation. In treatments like PRP and PRF, we isolate and concentrate these platelets to create a solution that can be precisely injected into the skin or scalp, helping to stimulate collagen, enhance skin tone and texture, and promote thicker, healthier hair growth.

  • How do you extract PRP/PRF from my blood?

The process starts with a quick blood draw, just like a routine lab test. Your blood sample is then placed in a medical-grade centrifuge, which spins the blood at a controlled speed to separate its components. For PRP, a faster spin isolates a layer of platelet-rich plasma. For PRF, a slower spin preserves more white blood cells and a fibrin matrix (healing factors), resulting in a thicker concentrate with a slower, sustained release of growth factors. The final product – either PRP or PRF – is then used immediately for your treatment.

  • Am I a good candidate for this treatment?

Many healthy adults are candidates for PRP and PRF treatments. However, these treatments may not be suitable for individuals with certain blood disorders, active infections, or those taking blood-thinning medications. We'll discuss your medical history during your consultation.

  • Are PRP and PRF safe?

PRP and PRF are considered safe for most individuals. The equipment used to process your blood and administer the treatment is FDA-cleared, and because these treatments use components of your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or adverse response is significantly reduced. Your provider will review your health history to ensure PRP or PRF is safe and appropriate for you.

  • How long do the results last?

While the visible effects of PRP and PRF treatments typically last around a year, the deeper benefits (like improved cellular turnover and collagen stimulation) can have more lasting impacts on your skin’s health. Because skin continues to age and regenerate, your provider may recommend periodic maintenance treatments to keep your results looking fresh and long-term benefits optimized.

  • What is the downtime?

You may experience mild swelling, bruising, or sensitivity for a few days following treatment. We recommend avoiding intense exercise or sweating for 24 hours, to keep the areas of open skin clean. For full post-treatment guidelines, please refer to our PRP & PRF Treatment Care Guide.

  • Can I get PRP or PRF while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Even though PRP and PRF use your own blood, these treatments have not been studied in pregnant or breastfeeding individuals. Because your body undergoes hormonal and vascular changes during this time, we recommend waiting until after pregnancy and nursing to begin treatment. Your provider can guide you on the safest timeline to get started.

  • How can I prepare for my treatment and what should I expect after?

For comprehensive pre- and post-treatment care instructions, please visit our Resource Center.

  • What can microneedling help with – and what can’t it?

Microneedling is used to treat a wide range of concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, sun damage, general skin laxity, and stretch marks. It’s not intended to address deeper volume loss or pronounced wrinkles caused by muscle movement, but treatments like dermal fillers or wrinkle relaxers can be added to your plan to complement your results. During your consultation, we’ll help prioritize your goals and customize the right combination of treatments for your skin.

  • What device do you offer for microneedling treatments?

We use SkinPen®, the first FDA-cleared microneedling device and the only system with a fully FDA-cleared protocol, trusted by over 10,000 providers and more than three million patients across the U.S. It’s engineered and manufactured in the USA.

  • How does pricing work?

Microneedling is priced at a flat rate, with add-on options including PRP, Sculptra®, and Exosomes. During your consultation, your provider can recommend the most efficient path to your desired results, tailored to your goals, timeline, and budget. At Nuey, we’re committed to price transparency and partner with trusted suppliers to deliver exceptional value without compromising care, safety, or results.

  • Is microneedling safe for everyone?

Microneedling is generally considered safe for most healthy individuals, but it may not be appropriate for everyone. Those with a history of allergies, asthma, or chronic hives and itching may have a higher risk of sensitivity or allergic reactions. It’s also not recommended for individuals with active skin infections, certain autoimmune conditions, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your Nuey provider will review your medical history during consultation to ensure microneedling is a safe and appropriate option for you.

  • Are there any side effects to microneedling treatments?

Most clients experience mild, temporary side effects such as redness, sensitivity, or flaking (similar to a light sunburn) that typically resolve within a few days. Allergic reactions are rare but can include contact dermatitis (rash), itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing. If you have a history of allergies, asthma, or skin sensitivities, be sure to discuss this with your Nuey provider during your consultation so we can ensure your treatment plan is both safe and effective.

  • Does the treatment hurt?

You may experience some minor discomfort during and shortly after your treatment. To keep you comfortable, your Nuey provider may apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to minimize any sensitivity.

  • What microneedling enhancements do you offer?

We offer three advanced enhancements to elevate your microneedling results:
    • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Uses your own plasma to accelerate healing, enhance glow, and stimulate deeper collagen renewal.
    • Sculptra: A collagen-boosting infusion that helps improve firmness and rebuild volume over time.
    • Exosomes: Regenerative particles rich in growth factors that help support faster recovery, improved hydration, and a more radiant, even complexion.

Your provider can help determine which enhancement best aligns with your skin goals.

  • What is the downtime?

Most clients experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Some dryness or flaking (known as sloughing) may continue for up to a week as the skin naturally renews. This is a normal part of the healing process and often resolves quickly with proper aftercare.

  • Is Clear + Brilliant good for all skin types?

Clear + Brilliant is safe and effective for a broad range of skin types and tones. During your consultation, we’ll ensure it’s the right fit for your unique skin and goals.

  • What does it feel like?

Most clients describe a mild prickling or warming sensation as the laser passes over the skin. We use a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.

  • What is the downtime?

Clear + Brilliant is known to have minimal downtime. You may experience mild redness and a sandpaper-like texture for a few days post-treatment. Most clients return to normal activities the same or next day with minimal disruption. For optimal healing, follow our post-treatment care guide available in the Resource Center.

  • Is Clear + Brilliant safe for sensitive skin?

This treatment is often recommended as a gentle alternative to more aggressive laser procedures, making it ideal for sensitive or reactive skin types. Your provider will evaluate your skin to assess the most suitable light + energy treatment for your goals.

  • Can I get Clear + Brilliant while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Clear + Brilliant is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. We’ll be happy to discuss alternative options with you during your consultation.

  • Is BBL HEROic the same as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)?

While BBL HEROic and IPL both use light energy to target skin concerns, BBL is often described as a more advanced version of IPL, with greater precision, consistency, and speed. It’s also the only light therapy to date shown to alter gene expression patterns associated with aging.

  • What skin types does BBL HEROic treat?

BBL HEROic is safe and effective for Fitzpatrick skin types I through V, meaning it can treat a broad range of skin tones and concerns. With its advanced cooling and motion technology, HEROic delivers powerful results with enhanced comfort and reduced risk, making it a great option for those who may not have been ideal candidates for older IPL devices. During your consultation, your provider will customize your treatment plan based on your skin type, tone, and goals.

  • What concerns does BBL HEROic treat?

This treatment can help address sun damage, age spots, freckles, redness, inflammation, active acne, rosacea, and uneven skin tone. It also improves skin texture and supports collagen production over time.

  • What is the downtime?

Social downtime is minimal. You may experience redness, warmth, or darkening of pigmented spots for a few days. Most clients resume normal activities the same or next day, but we advise avoiding sun exposure for at least two weeks and following your provider’s post-care guidance closely.

  • Does it hurt?

BBL HEROic is well tolerated by most clients. You may feel a mild snapping or warmth as the light pulses are delivered, but discomfort is minimal and brief. Most clients do not require any anesthetic.

  • Can I get BBL HEROic while pregnant or breastfeeding?

BBL HEROic is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • How much does it cost?

We believe in transparent pricing and partner with trusted vendors to deliver the best value without compromising care.

  • Is Moxi suitable for all skin tones?

  • What is the downtime?

You may experience redness and a rough, sandpaper-like texture for a few days, followed by light flaking as your skin renews. Small micro-dots called MENDs may appear and gradually slough off between days 3-5. While many people return to their usual routines quickly, we recommend avoiding direct sun, heat, and intense workouts for a few days post-treatment.

  • Can I get Moxi while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Out of caution, laser treatments like Moxi are not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Your provider can discuss alternative options and help you plan ahead.

  • How does Moxi compare to other laser treatments?

Moxi is a gentle, non-ablative laser designed for prevention and maintenance, and is safe for all skin tones. Unlike more aggressive resurfacing treatments, it offers visible results with minimal downtime, making it a great option for routine skin renewal.

  • Can it be combined with any other treatments?

Moxi is often paired with BBL HEROic™ (broadband light) to enhance tone, clarity, and collagen production. It can also be combined with treatments like wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, microneedling, or PRP/PRF to further support your skin goals. Your provider can recommend a customized treatment plan to align with your skin goals and calendar.

  • What kind of skin concerns can IPL help with?

IPL is often used to treat sunspots, age spots, redness, rosacea, and broken capillaries. It’s also popular for generally brightening skin tone and improving clarity across the face, neck, chest, and hands.

  • Who is IPL best for?

IPL works best on lighter skin tones with visible signs of sun damage, redness, or pigmentation, helping reduce freckles, age spots, and rosacea. It may not be suitable for deeper skin tones, due to an increased risk of pigmentation changes after the treatment.

  • How does IPL differ from other laser treatments?

Unlike lasers that use a single, focused wavelength of light, IPL uses broad-spectrum light to target multiple skin concerns at once. It’s generally considered gentler and best suited for surface-level pigment and redness.

  • What does IPL feel like?

You may feel a quick snap or warm pulse with each flash of light. Most clients find the treatment tolerable without numbing, though it can be applied for added comfort if needed.

  • What is the downtime?

Downtime is typically minimal. Skin may appear slightly pink or flushed for a few hours, and treated pigmentation may temporarily darken before flaking off over the next 7-10 days. You’ll be advised to avoid direct sun exposure and follow gentle aftercare during this period.

  • Can I get IPL while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Out of caution, IPL treatments are not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • What skin concerns does Fraxel address?

Fraxel is an advanced resurfacing treatment that targets deep wrinkles, acne and surgical scars, uneven texture, sun damage, and pigmentation issues. Known for its long-lasting benefits, it’s one of the most effective options for major skin resurfacing.

  • How does Fraxel differ from other laser treatments?

Fraxel is a fractional laser that treats microscopic columns of skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact, which helps accelerate healing. Its ability to penetrate multiple depths makes it suitable for deeper skin concerns compared to gentler lasers like Moxi® or Clear + Brilliant®.

  • Is Fraxel safe for all skin tones?

Fraxel is generally considered safe for lighter to medium skin tones. Darker skin types may require additional evaluation to reduce risks of pigmentation changes. For patients with melanin-rich skin, providers may recommend alternative treatments or adjust settings carefully to minimize risk. Book a consultation with a Nuey provider to determine the safest and most effective approach based on your individual skin tone and goals.

  • What is the downtime?

Fraxel is considered one of the most efficient resurfacing lasers, delivering visible results with relatively minimal downtime. Most clients should plan for a few days of social downtime, though redness, swelling, and flaking can last 7-14 days depending on the treatment depth. Proper aftercare is critical to support the healing process and optimize results.

  • Can I get Fraxel while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Out of caution, Fraxel is not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • What skin concerns can Halo treat?

Halo is effective for sun damage, enlarged pores, uneven tone, acne scars, fine lines, and mild skin laxity. It’s one of the most versatile laser treatments available.

  • How is Halo different from other lasers?

Unlike single-mode lasers, Halo combines two wavelengths to treat both the surface and deeper layers of the skin simultaneously. This means more dramatic results with less downtime than traditional fully ablative lasers.

  • Does a Halo treatment hurt?

With a topical numbing cream and cooling technology in the machine, most clients find the treatment very manageable. You may feel a warm, prickling sensation during the session, followed by lingering heat for 30-60 minutes afterward, occasionally longer with deeper treatments. Overall, discomfort is minimal and well-tolerated.

  • What’s the downtime like?

Most clients experience redness, swelling, and peeling for about 5-7 days. You may feel like you’ve had a sunburn for the first 24 hours. Avoid sun exposure during the healing period, and follow aftercare instructions carefully to support recovery.

  • Is Halo safe for all skin types?

Your provider will evaluate your skin tone and type during your consultation to ensure safety and customize the treatment settings accordingly.

  • Can I get Halo while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Laser resurfacing treatments like Halo are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • What concerns can Ultherapy treat?

Ultherapy is ideal for addressing mild to moderate skin laxity, especially in areas like the jawline, cheeks, neck, and brows. It can help restore definition, smooth sagging, and create a more lifted, contoured look.

  • Is Ultherapy a replacement for a face lift?

Ultherapy is not a face lift alternative, but it is a great option for those who want to lift and tighten without surgery. It offers a subtler, more gradual result without incisions, downtime, or dramatic changes.

  • What does the treatment feel like?

You may feel tingling or warmth as the ultrasound energy is delivered. Some clients experience tenderness for a few days post-treatment, and minor swelling or bruising may occur, depending on the area treated.

  • What is the downtime?

There’s no formal downtime. You can return to normal activities right away, though some clients may experience temporary tenderness, swelling, or redness for a few weeks following the treatment.

  • Can Ultherapy be used on all skin tones?

Ultherapy uses ultrasound, not light or heat on the surface, so it’s safe for all skin tones and types.

  • Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Ultherapy is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

  • How do I know which treatment is right for me?

We’ll help you decide during your consultation. Whether you need a deep clean, hydration boost, or gentle exfoliation, we’ll match you with the best treatment or combine a couple for maximum impact.

  • Is there any downtime?

Most of our facials and exfoliating treatments have zero to minimal downtime. Some peels may cause light flaking for a few days, which we’ll prepare you for in advance.

  • Can I combine treatments?

Many clients combine dermaplaning with a facial or follow a DiamondGlow with a light peel. We’ll customize a combination plan to target your skin goals.

  • How soon will I see results?

Results are typically visible immediately and continue to improve over the next few days. Skin may look brighter, smoother, and more hydrated right after treatment.

  • Can I wear makeup after?

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours post-treatment to let your skin breathe and maximize product absorption – but you can apply makeup the next day unless otherwise advised.

  • Are these treatments safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Some are! Treatments like dermaplaning and certain facials are safe during pregnancy, while others (like chemical peels) may not be recommended. Let us know during your consultation and we’ll tailor accordingly.
